Tom Manners
Experienced commercial leader and board director
Hi, I'm Tom...
I’ve worked in sales and marketing for over twenty years and what I do is pretty simple – I help people and teams get to the next level. Next level thinking, next level capability and next level growth. That’s it.
I’ve worked with tiny start ups, huge businesses and many organisations in between. You can see more about me here.
Whatever the business and their capability, what I offer is the same: a razorlike focus on growth, a wealth of experience and a ton of empathetic encouragement.
It’s driven by a passionate belief that there is always a next level of capability and growth to be found. Always. Irrespective of the starting point.
I have a great track record of helping teams get clear on what to do to grow and - equally importantly - how to do it.
What I do
In my experience, three things are needed to unlock next level growth.
I help teams discover and deliver them.
1. Clarity on the true levers of future growth
- Break down business components and capabilities
- Audit spend and channel performance
- Highlight best opportunity growth levers
- Identify best opportunity channels for step-change2. A plan focussed relentlessly on those levers
- Spend concentrated on key growth levers
- Activity centred on opportunity channels
- Set meaningful KPIs
- Mastering the Pareto Principle
3. Brilliant and precise execution
- Granular steps to unlock next level performance
- Creating bias to action
- Measuring results
- Constant iteration

I completely get that some CEOs may feel that consultants just 'take your watch to tell you what the time is'. You can see why I take mild issue with that point of view here.
